Submission Guidelines

Submissions must be the work of 12-17 year old writers.

Types of content that is never acceptable includes but is not limited to:

  • Plagiarism (copying or reproduction of someone else's writing or ideas without attribution)

  • Personal contact information (social media, phone number, email, etc.)

  • External links

  • Discrimination or hurtful language

  • Harm of others or self-harm

  • Anything we deem explicit or overly violent

Your work will always be reviewed before it is posted. If YAA believes that the content does not fit the guidelines, we will always respond to you with reasoning as to why your work was not posted. You are allowed to resubmit your work if corrected. Although, some works may be acceptable given its context.

By submitting your work to Young Authors' Alliance, you affirm that the content is your original creation and that you hold full rights to it. Young Authors' Alliance does not claim any ownership over your submission—you retain all copyrights and intellectual property rights to your work. By submitting, you grant Young Authors' Alliance a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to publish your work on its website and affiliated platforms for promotional and educational purposes. You acknowledge that Young Authors' Alliance is not liable for the content of your writing or any claims that may arise from its publication; all opinions, statements, and material expressed in your submission are your own. Once a piece is published, it cannot be edited, only removed upon request by emailing youngauthorsalliance@gmail.com. To publish an updated version, the original post must be removed and a new submission must be made through the official submission form.
